**Job Description**
**AECOM is seeking a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer** to join our downtown Sacramento office. Seeking a highly-motivated individual to join our dynamic Sacramento office and be part our international engineering practice. This individual will manage HVAC and plumbing teams for healthcare, corporate office, clean rooms, labs, and high tech clients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for designing custom solutions for unique projects, mentoring a team, and developing calculations, construction drawings, design reports, and specifications to support mechanical and plumbing portions of design work in accordance with building codes.
**Job Summary/Responsibilities:**
+ Have knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluids
+ Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and judgement based on guidance from lead engineers to design and construct HVAC and plumbing systems and equipment in buildings using building information modeling (BIM)
+ Coordinate HVAC&P systems with other disciplines to produce complete building designs
+ Engage with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, electrical, technology, clerical, and equipment suppliers
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Engineer-in-training (EIT) certification. This is an EIT Track position. Individuals should expect to already have or obtain their EIT within one year.
+ Experience in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
+ Experience in TRACE
+ Experience in BlueBeam Revu (PDF Handling)
