**AECOM’s Buildings + Places** practice is actively seeking a highly talented Project Manager to support active and future projects for growing suite projects for the Department of Energy. The candidate is to be based in one of the following offices: Albuquerque, NM, Denver, CO, Santa Fe, NM, or Colorado Springs, CO; but will be expected to travel to specific DOE job sites periodically for possibly extended periods of time.
AECOM’s Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building engineering, workplace strategy, business transformation, asset advisory, economics and development planning, master planning, urban planning, and landscape architecture in a dynamic, interactive, and creative work environment.

AECOM is seeking an experienced Project Manager for opportunity to oversee and manage new and exciting projects for the Department of Energy and other Federal Clients. The selected candidate will manage small to medium sized projects or act as a deputy project manager to large projects as part of an existing portfolio of large capacity multi-year contracts. The position includes working with interdisciplinary technical leads to coordinate the successful execution of projects in design and construction.
_Responsibilities include a proven track record of:_
+ Acting as a primary point of contact with a client.
+ Reviewing and negotiating contracts and preparing fee proposals for mulit-discipline projects
+ Managing projects and programs ideally for the Dept. of Energy or other Federal Entities.
+ Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Assurance programs.
+ Managing and directing professional and technical staff to complete architectural and engineering projects.
+ Coordinating internal resources and third parties/subcontractors for the execution of projects.
+ Ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and withing budget
+ Assisting in the definition of project scope and objectives; involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility.
+ Developing and monitoring a detailed project plan to track progress and identify shortfalls in a timely manner.
+ Change management and exercising appropriate escalation to management as necessary.
+ Familiar with risk management to minimize project risks.
+ Maintaining project documentation control.
+ Delivering positive financial metrics including as sold profit, billings and collection management.
+ Achieving contractual performance and financial milestones across the lifespan of multiyear / multitask order contracts.
_Other responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:_
+ Performs work with minimal direction with periodic reporting to internal regional and Buildings + Places management
+ Oversees the development of work plans and organizes project studies
+ Manages all phases of projects from beginning to closeout
+ Performs complex assignments often requiring the development of unique solutions to problems with the support of the project team
+ Conducts reviews and provides staff feedback for continued improvement
+ Assist with oversite and development of technical approaches and cost estimates for proposals
+ Detail oriented with strong organizational and communication, both verbal and written skills
+ Excellent communication, writing, editing, and reporting skills for a wide variety of audiences
+ Prepare, coordinate and conduct project meeting: Prepare and maintain the agenda and the meeting minutes
+ Help develop and maintain project schedule, project budget and risk register
+ Review Design Documents and Coordinate Design reviews with various stakeholders
+ Manages small to medium sized projects that tend to have moderate complexity.
+ Assists in mentoring staff.
+ Familiar with project invoicing and cash flow management
**Minimum Requirements :**
+ BA/BS in Engineering or Architecture with + 4 years of relevant experience in the related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
+ Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required.
+ Valid Driver’s License Required
+ Drug testing will be required for this position
**Preferred Qualifications :**
+ Minimum 8 years of related experience
+ At least 2 years experience managing A/E design projects
+ Familiarity with DOE sites, missions, and cultures
+ Experience with Federal research, science and technology related facilities
+ Licensed PE or RA
+ Ability to work in Fast-paced environment and Coordinate with multiple stakeholders
+ Ability to obtain security clearance to gain access to DOE and DOD facilities
+ Sponsorship is not available for this position.
+ Travel is required for this position.
+ Hybrid work schedule will be considered for this position.
+ Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $82,500 - $130,000.
