**Job Description**
**AECOM is actively seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist for employment within our Environmental Remediation Practices group. The Environmental Scientist will support our industrial asbestos/lead/mold program which includes inspection, design/plan, and abatement oversight.**
Multiple opportunities are available in the Charlotte, NC, Huntington, WV, Indianapolis, IN, Albany, NY and Jacksonville, FL regions.
The Environmental Scientist will travel throughout a region for typically one week projects (home on weekends). Travel is expected to be about 50% of the time.
**The ideal candidate will be able to travel, have excellent writing and communication skills and experience with industrial hygiene, asbestos and/or lead surveys/inspections.**
Tasks will include:
+ Preparing reports and other technical documents.
+ Compiling, evaluating, and analyzing environmental data
+ Conducting asbestos surveys
+ Conducting lead paint inspections
+ Conducting mold / indoor air quality surveys
+ Conducting universal and general hazard inventories surveys
+ Travel within a geographic territory conducting inspections; travel to project locations including driving and overnight stays
+ Field document preparation, field data collection, processing and interpretation
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, or closely related field and 2+ years of experience in environmental consulting and or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
+ Valid driver's license
+ Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience with industrial hygiene, asbestos, lead and mold remediation
+ Asbestos and/or Air Monitoring certifications
**Additional Information**
