**Your Opportunity**
As an entry level Electrical Designer, you will work with close guidance and supervision on tasks and smaller projects, and as a team member of a larger project under the guidance of a Senior Engineer/Designer. You will assist in evaluating, selecting, specifying, and engineering certain electrical power and lighting systems or products for a project verifying compliance with applicable codes and internal engineering standards / practices. You will perform a variety of tasks which may include calculations and field work. The smaller projects that an entry level Electrical Designer may be assigned to will have relatively few complex features.
**Your Key Responsibilities**
+ Electrical/Lighting Design in support of a variety of projects including: renewable energy systems, parks, marinas/boatyards, roadways, transportation facilities, site development projects, rail projects, and electrical infrastructure design. Attend meetings with clients, authorities having jurisdiction, and utility companies to coordinate projects.
+ Design tasks will include lighting design, energy code compliance, lighting/power circuiting design, construction cost estimating, and CAD drafting.
+ Prepare basic deliverables and documents including calculations, drawings, and specifications.
+ Examine field conditions as required to support development and completion of projects.
+ Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
**Qualifications**
**Your Capabilities and Credentials**
+ Experience designing electrical systems for an architectural/engineering firm is a plus.
+ Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation and/or BIM/REVIT.
+ Strong communication skills.
**Education and Experience**
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field. Minimum of 0-2 years of experience. Co-op/Internship experience preferred. MS in Electrical Engineering and/or EIT is a plus.
Position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work.
