**Job Description**
AECOM is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to join our growing Water/Wastewater group in Ohio (Akron, Cincinnati, Columbus, Cleveland).

As a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with both local staff and national experts with design staff and team members on a wide range of drinking water, and wastewater treatment projects, sewer condition assessment and rehabilitation projects, urban sustainability projects including green infrastructure, and infrastructure projects tied to developing areas or replacing old infrastructure (lead water pipes, brick sewers, etc).
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Technical oversight of design staff and team members for water/wastewater projects including but not limited to water and wastewater treatment, storage, pumping, collection, and distribution systems.
+ Identifies new business opportunities for AECOM, coordinates and participates in project presentations to clients and other external groups, and promotes AECOM’s capabilities, marketing its services among existing and prospective clients.
+ Participates in project opportunity evaluation, consultant selection, and the preparation of AECOM's qualification/experience statements.
+ Coordinates and participates in contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors and drafts complex professional service agreements and addenda for review by senior management.
+ Directs project team and client compliance with contract terms and monitors subcontractors' compliance with contractual commitments.
+ Prepares project work plan, scope, schedule, and budget, and communicates these to project team members; monitors/manages project production for compliance with schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
+ May supervise technical professionals, associate project managers, and design staff including workload and staffing management.
+ Monitors and reports financial status of projects to technical managers.
+ Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
**Qualifications**
Minimum Requirements:
+ BA/BS and 2+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
+ Valid driver’s license is required
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Five (5) or more years of related technical experience
+ Three (3) or more years performing project management
+ Professional Engineering (PE) license in home office state or the ability to obtain one within first 6 months of employment
+ Experience and familiarity with some or all of the following programs: ArcGIS, CADD, hydraulic analysis, process modeling
+ Experience working with clients in home office state or metro area.
+ Candidates must have proven interpersonal skills, including client interaction, public speaking, and persuasive ability; strong project financial management along with ability to lead diverse, multi-disciplined teams.
