Join a Top 10 global design firm in our Texas buildings practice that provides Interior Design, Architecture, and Buildings Engineering services with a long history and deep commitment to the education sector. Our Austin office is seeking a Interior Design Coordinator to join our interdisciplinary team.
The primary role of the Interior Design Coordinator is to support the Senior Interior Designer in their role translating the needs and desires of the client into a cohesive interior design solution. This process may involve the production of drawings (2D/3D), written material to support the conceptual direction of interior design and FFE, and the selection of interior finish materials. This individual will work under the supervision and mentorship of the Senior Interior Designer and should possess a willingness and desire to hear and respond to constructive feedback. An individual at this level in their career is expected to perform their role within the standard of care acceptable to their peers in the industry.

+ Advocate for design excellence and the practice of interior design both internally and externally.
+ Collaborate between offices to support multiple project teams.
+ Participate in interdisciplinary teams.
+ Engage team in dialog on design and ensures design process is followed.
+ Embrace changes in technology.
+ Communicate openly and honestly, with respect and courtesy.
+ Support project teams to deliver excellent client service.
+ Seek assistance to address challenges
+ Follow established standards, policies, procedures and guidelines.
+ Comply with professional ethical standards and codes
**Your Capabilities and Credentials**
+ Passionate about designing K-12 education environments.
+ Able to engage in creative and critical thought.
+ Receive criticism and respond appropriately and professionally.
+ Possess good judgement.
+ Exhibit maturity and cultural awareness internally and externally.
+ Follow through on commitments and assignments.
+ Understand the design principles that impact the human experience of interior spaces.
+ Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUP, and recent modeling software.
**Education and Experience**
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Interior Design or related field.
+ Pursuing Interior Design Licensure.
+ Recent graduate, or - 3 years of experience and K12/Education portfolio.
Stantec offers a flexible work schedule policy. Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
