P.I.N.K Practice
The P.I.N.K Practice is Michael’s postgraduate thesis project, developed during his M(Arch) at the University of Strathclyde. Conceived as both a speculative practice and a manifesto, the project reimagines the role of the architect as a listener, collaborator, and advocate deeply embedded within the communities they serve.
Set in Glasgow, the project merges design with activism to explore how architecture can act as a platform for equity, care, and cultural visibility. Through interventions such as modular community hubs and pop-up practice spaces. The P.I.N.K Practice challenges traditional models of architectural delivery. Proposing instead a framework that prioritises participation, inclusivity and intersectional design thinking.

A closer look.
The work reflects Michael’s wider ethos that architecture should not only be about form and function, but rather about who it is for, how it is experienced and who gets to be part of the design process. It stands as both a critical design proposal and a declaration of intent for the kind of socially engaged architect he aspires to become.
