How to read
the figures.

June 2026 edition. Published annual GBP benchmarks covering 94 roles in 7 industries, with 8 curated career pathways.

These figures are a guide, not a guarantee of an offer. Location, responsibility, experience and the practice all influence pay. Compare the scope of a role as well as its title.

What is the Architecture Social salary hub for?

Use this page as the starting point for salary guides, survey insight and architecture pay context. For role-by-role ranges, use the detailed salary guide.

How should candidates use the salary hub?

Start with the role guide closest to your position, then compare salary with responsibility, location, portfolio fit and current live architecture jobs.

How should employers use the salary hub?

Use it to sense-check salary bands before hiring. The right range still depends on seniority, project type, scarcity of skills and how quickly you need to hire.

Where can I compare salary survey data?

The salary survey adds extra market context. You can review the salary survey results alongside the role guides.

Can Architecture Social help interpret salary data?

Yes. We can talk through pay, hiring demand, offer positioning and next moves in architecture recruitment. You can contact Architecture Social.

What should I compare before discussing an offer?

Write down the responsibilities, project stages, working pattern, normal hours, benefits and support attached to the offer. Compare those details with the relevant published band. Ask which parts of the role the practice expects you to handle independently and how progression will be reviewed.

How can a practice use the guide when briefing a hire?

Start with the work the person will own, the experience needed and the support available. Use the relevant role and location as a reference, then agree a realistic advertised range. Explain what would distinguish someone at different points in that range before interviewing.

Does the next career step promise the salary shown?

No. The pathway compares published benchmarks for different roles. It does not predict your next offer or an automatic pay rise. Discuss the change in responsibility, the evidence needed and the timing of a review with the practice.
