Subin Philipose Mathew’s thesis, *Alzheimer’s Day Care Center: Fostering Patient Independence*, explores how design can enhance autonomy for individuals with Alzheimer’s. The project focuses on clear wayfinding, sensory engagement, and a homely atmosphere to reduce confusion and anxiety. Thoughtful material selection, including **parquet laminate flooring**, ensures safety and warmth, while biophilic elements like courtyards and natural light promote well-being. The design also accommodates caregivers with dedicated respite areas.
