The center is situated in Chatham Intra, Medway, occupying the former site of Grays car dealership, as a business site, it hinders meaningful social interactions and restricts public enjoyment. This historic naval town requires revitalization and currently suffers from overcrowding within healthcare facilities, leading to excessively long waiting times for GP appointments. Establishing a new healthcare facility dedicated to therapy and mental health services for all ages could relieve pressure on local healthcare resources. Furthermore, incorporating a riverside walkway and green spaces around the building would improve social engagement, enhance well-being, and benefit the environment. Located at the heart of the building, a therapy centre offers a haven for individuals seeking mental wellness. The centre provides a diverse range of therapies, including traditional group therapy and innovative approaches like nature and sports therapy. The interior design features calming elements, such as wooden floors and exposed CLT walls, creating a serene atmosphere that promotes relaxation. Furthermore, the center's courtyard design is carefully crafted to foster a sense of calm and tranquility, providing a peaceful retreat for patients. The project also incorporates sustainable practices, repurposing materials from the original building, including crushed concrete for new blocks, and using recyclable materials.
