shedkm architects

shedkm is an architectural practice whose work is rooted in regeneration. From studios in Liverpool, London and Manchester, the practice creates bold, engaging schemes that are economically and socially transformative.

shedkm practises socially responsive design, with a people-first approach to placemaking that creates vibrant neighbourhoods and long-term social sustainability. The practice delivers innovation through strategic commercial thinking, a strong design rationale and modern construction methods deployed for speed and efficiency. Its enterprising approach challenges design assumptions to add value for clients and end users.

Established 25 years ago, shedkm works across the UK on transformational schemes and new city neighbourhoods rooted in the historic urban grain. Recent and ongoing projects include Circus Street in Brighton, One Ruskin Square in Croydon, Redbridge Quay at Wirral Waters and the Soapworks office regeneration in Salford.

shedkm is now 100% employee-owned and a Certified B Corporation, placing strong social and environmental values and good governance at the heart of the organisation. The practice is ARB and RIBA registered, ISO 9001 certified and BSI verified for BIM delivery, and is a Living Wage Employer. It participates in industry initiatives including UK Architects Declare, Cyber Essentials and the Diverse Leaders Pledge, and has featured in the AJ100.

shedkm values its sociable "one practice" culture, putting well-being, professional development and great working relationships at the heart of everything it does.
