About

About TateHindle.

TateHindle is a London architecture and urban design studio, operating as an Employee-Owned Trust. We are architects and urbanists, design custodians of places where people can live, work and enjoy every shade of life in between. Our vision is to evolve every space, building or community we engage with for the better, for its people and for the planet.

We believe that designing with optimism and innovation can bring about tangible change. By bringing together the best of the past with the hope of the new, we make architecture that works for the present and remains sustainable well into the future.

Our approach is built on trust, and on the personal relationships we nurture with our collaborators. With them, we develop well thought through, robust ideas that we can all believe in, and sit at our clients' side to bring them to fruition. We use design to solve non-design problems: we are as much economists, management consultants and negotiators as we are architects.

The practice traces its roots to the early 1990s and works across residential, commercial, mixed-use, public sector and cultural projects from its studio in Shoreditch, London.

Culture

Inside the studio.

A closer look at studio life, development and working patterns.

TateHindle offers a fun and creative working environment, with the opportunity to work alongside high-profile clients on significant projects. As an Employee-Owned Trust, the practice describes its greatest asset as its creative commons: the expertise, spirit and skills shared across the team for a generation. Work is built on trust and on the personal relationships the studio nurtures with clients and collaborators. The studio works a hybrid week with one day from home.
