The story behind the work.
NTF Architecture designed the Chestnut Townhouses for a small inner-city site in Melbourne. The interiors push the practice's design thinking, drawing creature comforts from nature in an appealing, understated way.
A considered combination of materials, textures and colours gives the homes an overwhelming sense of calm, carried with a quiet touch of luxury. Each piece holds its own beauty, yet the whole reads as greater than the sum of its parts, with the interiors built around maximum light and space on a tight footprint.
