A restaurant and cocktail bar in Madrid that reinterprets Buenos Aires' Parque Bar through every shade of green.

The project
Parque Bar Botánico brings the Buenos Aires restaurant and cocktail bar Parque Bar to Madrid. OHIO Estudio set out to understand the original and reinterpret it for a new city, working with the full spectrum of green, layered textures and curves.
On the ground floor, the main bar is framed by a timber pergola that holds the back bar and lighting, with strips of light running between the planting. Blue and green wallpaper recalls a park at night.
Upstairs, a sheltered dining room uses planting as a threshold, with curved banquettes and planters. A ceiling mural ties the spaces together, petal-shaped lamps hang over the tables and a suspended mirror recalls water collecting in a park.
