Questions people ask

Where do these percentages come from?

They are the Architecture Social default tiers — 20% up to £59,999, 22.5% from £60,000 to £84,999, and 25% at £85,000 and above. Your own signed terms always govern. Switch to a custom rate if your agreement differs, which it often will for retained or volume arrangements.

Is the fee based on basic salary or the whole package?

On the chargeable figure defined in your terms, which is usually basic salary but can include guaranteed bonus, car allowance or other fixed elements. That definition is worth checking before you sign, because it can move the fee more than the percentage does.

What happens if the person does not stay?

That depends on the rebate terms in the same agreement, which typically reduce the amount recoverable the longer the person stays. The rebate calculator covers how that usually works.
