Whether you’re currently searching for a position or planning to pivot in the new year, these 11 tips will help you use the holiday period effectively for maximum results.
1. Set SMART Goals
First and foremost, plan using SMART goals—specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound objectives. This strategic approach will focus your job search and maximize efficiency.
2. Get Organized
Now that you have your SMART goals, it's time to organize your job search. Tools like Airtable or Excel can help manage your database of potential employers. I've even provided a free template, which you can find below the video.
3. Update Your CV
Take this time to revise and refresh your CV. Aim for one to two pages that are clean, crisp, and easily readable, even if printed on a poor-quality printer. Clearly list your experience, education, skills, and specific responsibilities with precise language.
