About
The story so far.
Joe Maguire is an architectural designer at Ackroyd Lowrie, the East London architecture practice. He studied at the University of Lincoln and the Manchester School of Architecture, and was completing his ARB registration at the time of recording.
He originated the idea for Ackroyd Lowrie's school-outreach and work-experience initiative, which aims to widen access to architecture by giving students without industry connections a realistic taste of practice, along with mentoring and portfolio support.
Joe joined Stephen Drew on the Architecture Social Podcast to talk through the barriers to entering the profession and the practical routes around them.
Watch or listen to the full conversation in the Architecture Social CPD: Barriers to Entry in Architecture: Routes In With Ackroyd Lowrie.
