About

About Ackroyd Lowrie.

Ackroyd Lowrie's work spans residential development, mixed-use masterplanning, workplaces, education and film and photographic studios.

The practice brings communities and other stakeholders into the design process early. It uses virtual reality to help clients and users experience proposals from a first-person perspective before they are built.

Its approach combines design development with a wider consideration of the brief, the people affected and the opportunities a project can offer.

Culture

Inside the studio.

A closer look at studio life, development and working patterns.

The practice describes a studio that takes work-life balance seriously. Its careers page sets out a capped, paid overtime policy, while acknowledging that some projects occasionally require additional hours. That is a published account of the practice's approach, not a guarantee of the terms of an individual role. Applicants should confirm the current arrangements during recruitment.
