Projects / Project
Twenty-six affordable micro-homes for first-time buyers registered as key workers, designed around off-site volumetric construction.
The story
Ackroyd Lowrie is working with an East London-based developer on the creation of 26 new ‘micro-homes which will be priced affordably to target first-time buyers who are registered as key workers.
The building will be constructed using off-site volumetric construction which will reduce the time on site significantly. This generates a saving for the developer by releasing the capital in the project quicker and reducing borrowing costs.
The design is based on 2 different modular layouts, which are interspersed to create the contemporary facade that will make the project a landmark in the local area.
