Article 25

Article 25 is the UK’s leading architectural NGO, using design to create sustainable buildings that improve health, education, and resilience in vulnerable communities around the world. Guided by Article 25 of the UN’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights – the right to adequate and dignified shelter – we believe that well-designed infrastructure is fundamental to a good quality of life.

We have delivered over 100 projects in 35 countries, making us one of the most far-reaching architectural NGOs in the world. From remote villages to disaster-hit areas, we work with in-country partners to ensure projects are locally embedded, climate-resilient, and long-lasting. Our designs use local, natural materials and passive systems, integrating off-grid solutions where needed to respond to environmental challenges and support communities living without access to mains power.

In the face of poverty, climate change and conflict, we use architecture as a tool for dignity, opportunity, and resilience.
