Where the work happens.
The folded steel staircase rises beside a fluted timber wall. · Glazed living spaces open towards the rear garden. · A pale island contrasts with the kitchen's dark cabinetry and concealed lighting.

In their words
Buildings shaped through collaboration, careful planning and a willingness to test ideas.
Das Studio was founded by Sara Horstmann and Dino Vrynios and is based on Kaurna Country in Adelaide. Its architects and interior designers work across new buildings, alterations, adaptive reuse and masterplanning.
The practice's residential work connects the design process closely with the people building and using a home. Iron Chef demonstrates that exchange: the client's steel-fabrication expertise helped the team develop a folded steel stair and other bespoke elements within a house shaped by its established trees and surrounding bungalows.
