Where the work happens.
Plywood linings and a glazed courtyard edge bring warmth and daylight to the living room. · The upstairs bedroom looks towards planting on the roof garden. · A projecting kitchen bench forms a breakfast bar beside the glazed courtyard.

In their words
Light, greenery and everyday rituals
DREAMER is a Melbourne architecture practice with a published portfolio that includes Terrace House 1, Two Sheds, 388 Barkly Street and Norton Legal. Its work combines architecture and interiors.
Terrace House 1 brings the studio’s approach into focus through a compact residential addition. Courtyards, carefully placed glazing and a planted roof create connections with the outdoors while protecting privacy.
The project balances spaces for gathering with quieter places to retreat. Its arrangement of rooms, built-in elements and garden views shows how a small addition can respond closely to the way a home is used.
