The open stair connects the floors beneath a large skylight. · Brick, timber and planted interiors frame the gathering spaces. · Glazing brings daylight into the upper circulation space.

In their words
Architecture developed through careful listening, site research and detailed work through construction.
MacCracken Robinson Architects has operated as a full-service architecture practice since 1985. Based in San Francisco’s South of Market area, it develops projects from an understanding of the client’s brief, the site and its cultural and environmental context.
At North Beach Office, the practice adapted a 1908 brick-and-timber building for a venture capital firm. Exposed structure, a new open stair and a large skylight give the two-storey workplace a clearer layout and bring light into its centre.
