In their words
McIldowie Partners works across architecture, interior design and masterplanning, with a substantial education portfolio. The practice has studios in Melbourne and Auckland and works with clients through design and construction.
Consultation is central to its published approach. The team works with clients, users and other stakeholders to understand the requirements of a project, bringing together operational needs, site conditions and the way a building will be used.
At Woodleigh School, its collaboration with Joost Bakker brings classrooms, shared courtyards and environmental learning systems into one setting. The Futures Studio illustrates the practice’s interest in the relationship between a school’s teaching approach and the spaces that support it.
