In their words
Homes that connect everyday living with the character of their site.
Merzbau Design Collective is led by J.C. Schmeil and works on custom residential architecture. The practice describes a collaborative process with clients, developing each home around its site, context and programme.
The practice lists locations in Austin and Steamboat Springs. Its portfolio includes new houses and alterations, with Bull Creek Residence bringing its approach to a family home arranged around established live oaks and a creekside landscape.
