In their words
Architecture shaped by context, material and the way people use a place.
PIMAA was founded in 2007 by José Pires Marques and Gonçalo Pires Marques. Based in Lisbon, the studio works across architecture, urbanism and design, with a particular interest in cultural, environmental and civic projects.
Its published approach brings together everyday use, the character of a site and the social purpose of a building. Comporta Cabins explores that approach through a group of timber-clad spaces arranged among the pines.
