The double-height entrance brings the rammed-earth wall into view from the stair hall. · The living area looks across Sorrento towards the bay. · Timber lines the kitchen ceiling above pale cabinetry and a dark worktop.

In their words
Architecture shaped around the people, terrain and practical demands of each project.
SGKS ARCH is an architecture and interior design studio based in South Melbourne. Established in 2022, the practice works across residential, commercial and public projects, with services extending to masterplanning and specialist disability accommodation.
Its approach combines collaboration with close attention to planning, construction and everyday use. At Sorrento House, that means working with a steep sandy site to create a shared holiday home for four generations, using a restrained building form and a much more playful palette inside.
