Where the work happens.
Custom oak cabinetry frames a kitchen island and pale stone surfaces. · Colourful furnishings sit beside the timber stair in a family living room. · A slatted stair screen carries the timber language between floors.

In their words
Architecture shaped through material and collaboration
Starling Architecture is based in Brooklyn, New York. The studio works across residential, retail and hospitality projects, including renovations and new buildings in New York City and eastern Long Island.
The studio approaches each brief through collaboration with its clients, developing spaces around their particular needs. Architectural and interior design are considered together, with materials, detailed joinery and the organisation of rooms giving each project its character.
At Carroll Gardens Townhouse, custom oak panels, battens and screens connect a five-storey home. Starling worked with interior designer Emily Lindberg to bring warmth and a consistent language to spaces that remain practical for family life.
