In their words
Studio BANAA is a San Francisco architecture practice founded by Nastaran Mousavi and Dane Bunton. Its work spans hospitality, housing and non-profit projects, with an emphasis on the experience of shared space.
The intentionally compact team works closely with clients through design and delivery. Its published services range from cafés, restaurants and bars to community organisations and wellness spaces, connecting day-to-day operation with the character of each setting.
Cafe Vivant / Somm Cellars in Menlo Park is part of the studio’s hospitality portfolio. BANAA is credited as architect of record, working alongside interior designer Marahmik and contractor Build Block. The project combines dining and wine retail within a warm timber-lined interior.
