The project
Akub brings Palestinian hospitality to a townhouse in Notting Hill. Fare Inc. designed a layered interior for a restaurant celebrating the region’s ingredients and culinary traditions alongside locally sourced British produce.

A tree and upholstered seating occupy a softly lit corner.
Annabel Harrison’s design uses textured wall coverings, olive-green upholstery and mottled timber veneers. Bespoke seating in tapestry fabrics and custom verdigris light fittings bring detail and character to the dining rooms.

The basement bar pairs marble with a hand-painted mural.

Tapestry upholstery brings pattern to the bespoke seating.
Calacatta oro marble and mother-of-pearl tiles add contrasting surfaces. In the basement, a mural commissioned from Tess Newall Studio wraps the bar, creating a different atmosphere below street level.

The stair connects the dining rooms within the townhouse.
