The project

Mangotsfield Folly uses reclaimed materials to reclaim a forgotten space. The timber structure was conceived as a 12-month installation, used and changed over that time by artist residencies, local community groups and children.

The demountable frame of reclaimed timber and red panels stands in long grass among trees, with a sheltered floor beneath its roof beams.

Timber roof beams extend over the frame.
