Reflections Apartment
A Bondi apartment is renewed through blue-grey cabinetry, reflective steel and handmade tiles, with small changes bringing more light into the existing interior.

The project
Reflections Apartment updates an interwar home in Bondi through a focused set of interior changes. The design draws on the cool, reflected quality of coastal morning light, using steel, blue-grey paint and glossy tiles to carry that character into the rooms.
The existing kitchen cabinetry and stainless-steel benchtop were retained. New paint and handmade tiles change their setting, while the removal of overhead bulkheads reveals a window and brings more daylight into the kitchen.

Blue tiles also shape the bathroom, paired with terrazzo flooring and brushed-nickel fittings. Their varied surfaces add texture and depth within the compact room.
The project concentrates on how the existing spaces are finished and experienced. Reused elements remain part of the apartment, with the new palette bringing the kitchen and bathroom into a more consistent relationship.
