About these client terms
These client terms explain how Architecture Social Limited works with architecture and design practices that use our directory, advertise roles or instruct our recruitment team.
Architecture Social Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent roles and as an employment business for contract assignments, in accordance with the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003 where they apply.
Architecture Social is an APSCo member. Membership requires ongoing compliance assessment against professional staffing standards.
Instructing our recruitment service
Unlike our directory service — which may be free or a one-off cost depending on the package you select — instructing our dedicated recruitment team to find a suitable candidate for a vacancy is a paid service.
Before an engagement begins we supply terms of business for that instruction. Those signed terms, not this website summary, govern fees, invoicing, introductions, ownership periods, rebates or replacements, confidentiality and the scope of search, retained or embedded work.
Ask for the current terms of business when briefing a role. If your organisation has already signed terms, that signed version is the source of truth.
Directory and job board use
Practices may use Architecture Social to:
- add a company profile to the directory;
- advertise job vacancies on the directory; and
- brief our recruitment team to search on their behalf.
Speculative applications that job seekers make to your listings on our directory are a courtesy service as part of the online directory. There is no recruitment charge for introductions that arise solely from those speculative directory applications.
A directory listing, job advertisement or other platform package is not automatically an instruction to provide recruitment search. The applicable page, order or agreement identifies what is included and whether a charge applies.
When recruitment search terms apply
If Architecture Social is asked to approach, qualify, screen or introduce candidates as a recruiter, the agreed recruitment terms of business apply. That includes permanent, contract, retained and embedded arrangements described on our services and recruitment pages.
Candidate recruitment support remains free for candidates. Candidate CVs and private application answers are not published on public profiles and are not stored in the public website database.
Commercial terms stay in the signed agreement
Signed client terms of business typically address matters such as:
- the service and role brief;
- fees, invoicing and payment;
- candidate introductions and ownership periods;
- rebates, replacements and qualifying conditions where offered;
- confidentiality and data protection; and
- permanent, retained, contract or embedded arrangements.
This page does not reproduce a full commercial schedule. Exact figures, rebate mechanics and special conditions are set only in the terms you are asked to sign before work begins.
Privacy and related documents
How client and candidate information is collected, retained and shared is explained in the privacy notice. Website use is also covered by the terms and conditions.
Candidate-facing recruitment terms are published separately at /recruitment-terms.
Request terms, questions and updates
Email support@architecturesocial.com to request the current client terms of business, discuss a hiring brief or raise a concern about the recruitment service.
We may update this public client summary when legislation or the service changes. Updates do not rewrite a signed engagement unless the signed terms themselves are varied.
