Tuition fees
£0
Apprentices pay no tuition fees, and the practice pays your salary throughout.
For new Level 7 apprentices, government funding now covers ages 16 to 21, or under 25 for care leavers and people with an EHC plan. Otherwise the practice pays for the training.
The route
Architecture apprenticeships, in plain terms.
An architecture apprenticeship lets you work in a practice and study with a partner university at the same time. You earn a salary from day one and pay no tuition fees.
There are two levels. The Level 6 Architectural Assistant apprenticeship leads to a Part 1 degree. The Level 7 Architect apprenticeship covers Part 2 and Part 3, and you need Part 1 before you start. Each typically takes about four years.
Level 6 alone does not qualify you as an architect.
Ask before you apply
- Which apprenticeship level is the role?
- Which university does the practice work with?
- How are your study days protected?
