Architect | Healthcare | Technical Delivery
London Based
Competitive Salary + Employee-Owned Practice, Private Healthcare, 26 Days Leave + Bank Holidays, Flexible Working and more
This is a fantastic opportunity for an Architect to join a highly regarded, employee-owned practice with a strong reputation for delivering complex healthcare buildings. You'll work on projects that make a real difference to patients, staff and communities, with a team that invests properly in your development. The practice is known for technical excellence and thoughtful design across the healthcare sector, from hospitals and mental health facilities to primary and community care. The healthcare team has a strong pipeline of work and is looking for an Architect who enjoys the technical side of architecture: resolving complex details, coordinating large consultant teams and seeing buildings through to completion on site.
Because the practice is employee-owned, everyone has a stake in its success. The culture is collaborative, supportive and focused on long-term careers, with real opportunities to take on responsibility and progress.
The Role
You'll join the healthcare team and work mainly across the technical stages, developing coordinated information and helping deliver complex projects from RIBA Stage 3 through to completion. You'll work closely with clients, clinical stakeholders, consultants and contractors, and take on more ownership as you grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver healthcare projects across RIBA Stages 3 to 5 and into construction.
- Develop technical packages, construction details and specifications.
- Produce coordinated Revit models and drawing packages.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams and resolve design interfaces.
- Work with clients and clinical users to meet complex functional requirements.
- Attend design team meetings, workshops and site visits.
- Support junior team members and contribute to a collaborative studio.
Essential
- ARB-registered Architect.
- Experience working in a UK architectural practice.
- Strong technical and detailing skills.
- Experience delivering projects through the technical stages, ideally Stage 4 onwards.
- Good Revit skills.
- Experience coordinating consultants and project information.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
Desirable
- Healthcare experience, or experience on other complex public sector projects.
- Experience on large-scale or complex projects.
- Experience of construction-stage delivery and contractor coordination.
What's on Offer
- Competitive salary.
- An employee-owned practice where everyone shares in its success.
- At least 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Flexible working, including home working and time off in lieu.
- Six months' full maternity pay and extended paternity leave.
- Private healthcare.
- Pension scheme and sick pay.
- Annual team trips, charity events and family days.
- Plus more.
Healthcare roles with this level of technical exposure, plus the security and culture of an employee-owned practice, don't come up often. If you want to build your career on buildings that genuinely matter, send your CV today.
Ready when you are.
