In their words

Clear planning, natural light and a close relationship between the home and its surroundings.

Established in 2009, Hennessey Architecture is a full-service design studio in San Francisco. Its work begins with an understanding of the site and the client’s daily needs, using drawings, models and regular conversations to develop a specific response to each project.

At Up in the Clouds, the studio renovated a 1962 Eichler home and added a fourth-floor family room. A bridge to the hillside garden creates another route between the upper room and the living spaces below, connecting the house with its landscape.
