The project
Ash Wilson Design reworked the interiors of a five-bedroom Victorian redbrick residence in Dublin. The restoration retains the house's period character while adapting its rooms for contemporary living.
Decorative ceilings, fireplaces and tall windows provide the setting for new furniture, lighting and cabinetry. The kitchen centres on a marble island, with timber storage and parquet flooring giving the space warmth.
The living and dining rooms bring together restored architectural details and a varied selection of furnishings. Bedrooms and bathrooms continue the combination of natural materials, patterned surfaces and carefully chosen colour.

A marble basin and brass fittings in the bathroom.

The principal bedroom with its upholstered headboard.

The restored fireplace and seating area in the drawing room.

Bespoke cabinetry along the passage to the garden.
