Projects / Project
A seven-floor refurbishment of 200 Buckingham Palace Road for British Transport Police, delivered while the building remained operational.
The story
Willmott Dixon Interiors transformed 200 Buckingham Palace Road into a headquarters for British Transport Police on behalf of landlord Places for London. The occupied building was refurbished in phases so areas could be brought into use early and disruption kept under control.
All seven floors were reorganised as open-plan workplace with collaboration areas, equipment storage and private changing facilities. A dual-access reception separates staff and visitor routes, while accessibility, energy systems, building services and fire safety were upgraded.
The official case study identifies Willmott Dixon Interiors as architect and project manager for this fit-out package and records completion. That credit applies to the refurbishment scope and is not presented as authorship of the original building.
