The story

The story behind the work.

3551 Crystal is a completed 6,250 sq ft house in Coconut Grove. The flood-zone requirement to lift habitable rooms above grade becomes the basis for an elevated structure with sheltered parking and usable outdoor space below.

A summer kitchen, partially covered pool, outdoor dining and rooftop extend the house's entertaining spaces while preserving an open ground level towards the street. The official page credits MIK Architecture for architecture and interior design, AGD Developers as developer and AG General Contractor as builder; no personal authorship claim is made for Matias Daroch.
