Projects / Project
Planning and economic advice supporting a mixed-use waterside regeneration in central Bath.
The story
Bath Quays brings together development sites on both sides of the River Avon within Bath's Waterside Enterprise Area. Turley's Planning and Economics teams worked on applications and environmental statements for the southern and northern schemes.
The official case study describes approximately 10,000 square metres of employment space, up to 69 homes, shops, leisure uses and new public realm at Bath Quays South. It also records the refurbishment of the Grade II listed Newark Works as more than 4,500 square metres of creative workspace.
A pedestrian and cycle bridge by Marc Mimram connects the southern site with the city centre. Turley's published role is planning, economics and environmental assessment, not architectural design of the buildings or bridge.
