Projects / Project
A long-term docklands regeneration programme for which Turley leads planning strategy and detailed applications.
The story
Wirral Waters is a proposed regeneration of derelict docklands in the Liverpool city region. Turley assembled a specialist team and developed the planning strategy and framework that secured outline permission for the wider waterfront programme.
The organisation's role is planning, heritage, townscape and economics advice. Its official case study records reserved-matters approval for 500 build-to-rent homes and detailed applications for education, commercial, infrastructure and public-realm elements.
The source describes an estimated £4.5 billion programme and a potential 20,000 jobs if the full development is completed. Those are forward-looking case-study figures, not evidence that Turley designed the buildings or that every element has been delivered.
