The story

The story behind the work.

Bowman Riley delivered a smart retrofit of the Co-op supermarket on Soham High Street, using thermal modelling to target upgrades with the strongest energy and carbon benefits.

The refurbishment upgraded the roof and shopfront glazing, added photovoltaic panels and refrigeration heat recovery, and reorganised the store for more efficient operations. The branch reopened after an eight-week programme as Co-op's first sustainability showcase branch.
