The story
The story behind the work.
Bowman Riley partnered with YorSpace Community Land Trust to design a community-led scheme on the site of a former school at Lowfield Green in York.
The completed first phase provides 14 townhouses. Five homes use modular prefabricated construction, while the remainder are timber-framed and designed to meet Passivhaus standards; future phases include six apartments and a community hall.
