The story

The story behind the work.

The Fort Worth facility contains the first two of five planned data halls and one of three administration buildings on its wider campus. Each hall provides 34 MW of IT power, and phased turnover brought the first capacity online less than two years after work began.

A penthouse arrangement uses outside air instead of conventional energy-intensive air conditioning, while the building is reported as 80% more water-efficient than an average data centre. Perforated facade panels shade the administration spaces, add privacy and encode messages using an inverse punch-card pattern.
