The story
The story behind the work.
The Prineville facility pairs its high server-cooling demand with an evaporative system that responds directly to operating loads. Rainwater from the large roof is collected and reused for toilets and landscape irrigation, contributing to a reported power usage effectiveness of 1.07.
The architecture responds to the high-desert landscape with unadorned precast panels and a sheltered courtyard formed by freestanding walls. Glazed office and lounge areas open longer views towards the surrounding landscape while keeping the technical building's expression calm and direct.
