The story behind the work.
Gabrielle Wood's project examines how fire and security threats have influenced London's architecture.
The work focuses on the period of the IRA bombing campaign and investigates defensive and blast-mitigating design in a dense historic city, using the Gherkin and London's eastern cluster as architectural context.
