Grainhouse brings five historic buildings together as one mixed-use development while retaining the distinct character accumulated across the Covent Garden block. Restored original fabric sits beside deliberately contemporary extensions, with retail and leisure at ground level and flexible workplaces above.
Barr Gazetas describes a detailed cut-and-carve refurbishment and two-storey extensions responding to the massing of each building. The completed development provides 67,000 sq ft of office space, terraces, end-of-trip facilities, restaurant and retail uses, plus Hines' European headquarters.
