The story
The story behind the work.
Barr Gazetas transformed a 1980s building near Sloane Square by retaining its four-storey structure and adding a single-storey extension. Full-height glazing, balconies and a double-height reception reshape the workplace, while new landscaping supports employee wellbeing and biodiversity.
The practice records a 39% embodied-carbon saving from retaining the structure and describes an all-electric operational strategy, mixed-mode ventilation, material reuse and renewable energy.
