The story

By its announcement dated 13 September 2023, Be First had completed Industria in Barking as London's first new-generation multi-storey ramped industrial and warehouse development. Two connected buildings provide more than 100,000 sq ft across 45 units, with loading and service yards arranged over three levels.
The scheme responds to the shortage of industrial land by stacking space for small and medium-sized businesses while adding a cafe, breakout space, cycle facilities, green walls and photovoltaic panels. Haworth Tompkins designed the scheme with industrial specialist Ashton Smith. Be First is credited as regeneration developer and client, and no Jacob Willson design authorship is inferred.
