The story
The story behind the work.
Set on a compact 200 sq.m plot in Navi Mumbai, this private residence is designed to reflect the ambitions of a close-knit family of four. The brief demanded a highly functional layout with room to host and gather; all within a tight urban footprint.
Organised as a G+3 structure, the ground floor accommodates an office, staff quarters, and parking for four vehicles. The first floor opens into the heart of the home; a dramatic double-height living and dining space that flows into the kitchen, fostering openness and connection.
The bold vertical façade is articulated along the narrow North facade, with a double-height glazed front and a rhythm of balconies and terrace voids that offer both visual relief and moments of pause. A key architectural highlight is the custom-designed internal steel staircase, which anchors the vertical movement of the home both functionally and visually.
Contemporary yet grounded, the design balances privacy with openness, efficiency with elegance.
